On Thursday, January 15, CJHS director Dr. Adam Fuller will give a co-talk at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown as a lunch and learn. The talk, titled “From Exodus to Freedom Rides: Jewish and Black Americans Marching Together for Civil Rights” will address the relationship between Jewish and African American civil rights movements, particularly in the 1960s. The event is sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council in commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
